Aptis Writing practice, corrected by teachers
Aptis Writing has 4 parts and lasts 50 minutes. The part that decides your score is the last one, where you have to write two separate texts in two different registers, and most candidates find that out on exam day.
Free to start. No card needed.
The 4 parts, with their word limits
Part 1: 1 to 5 words, aimed at A1. Part 2: 20 to 30 words, aimed at A2. Part 3: 30 to 40 words, aimed at B1. Part 4: 160 to 200 words, 2 separate texts, aimed at B2. Both the minimum and the maximum count: going under costs marks even when the English is perfect.
Register is worth more than vocabulary
The last part asks for an informal message and a formal one on the same situation. Writing both in the same tone is the single most common reason a good English speaker scores below their level. Practise the switch, not just the grammar.
The word count is not a suggestion
Going under the minimum costs marks even if what you wrote is perfect, and going far over does not earn any. Learning what your own 120 words look like, so you do not have to count them under exam pressure, is worth more than another list of connectors.
Why a human has to correct this
In the real exam an examiner reads your text. An algorithm can tell you that a sentence is grammatical; it cannot tell you that your formal email sounds like a text message. Here your writing is corrected by real teachers, with the specific thing to fix next time.

- It changes by part, from a few words in the first one to two full texts in the last. Each part has its own minimum and maximum, and both matter.
- Who corrects my Aptis writing practice?
- Real teachers, not an algorithm. Writing is judged by a human in the real exam, so it is judged by a human here.
