Con el tiempo, el inglés vuelve a repartir el "en" español entre in, on, at, y por suerte la lógica es muy limpia: va de lo grande a lo pequeño. in para lo grande (años, meses, estaciones, partes del día: in July, in the morning); on para los días y fechas (on Monday, on my birthday); y at para las horas exactas y momentos puntuales (at 6pm, at night). Grande → in, día → on, hora → at.

    IN· periodo grandein July · in 2025 · in the morningON· día / fechaon Monday · on 1 MayAT· hora exactaat 6 pm · at noon← lo más preciso
El tiempo se estrecha: in (periodo grande) contiene on (día) que contiene at (hora exacta).

    In, on, at

in = periodos grandes: in 2025, in summer, in the morning.
on = días/fechas: on Friday, on 1 May.
at = horas/momentos: at noon, at the weekend.
for = duración (for two hours); by = fecha límite, no más tarde (by Monday).

    El error típico del hispanohablante

Con next, last, this o every no se usa preposición: se dice see you next week, no "on next week".
Las partes del día llevan in (in the morning / afternoon / evening), pero "por la noche" es at night.
