Se forma con have / has + participio (I have finished).
p.ej. I have seen that film.
Estructura del present perfect simple
La estructura del present perfect es siempre la misma: have o has + participio pasado. Se usa has con he, she e it (She has finished) y have con el resto (They have finished).
En negativa se añade not: I haven't seen it, he hasn't called. En pregunta, el auxiliar va delante: Have you eaten? La respuesta corta repite el auxiliar: Yes, I have o No, I haven't.
En la lengua hablada se contrae: I've, she's, we've.
Present perfect tense and past simple: cómo elegir
Have you seen the new film? pregunta por una experiencia sin decir cuándo. Did you see it last night? pide un momento concreto.
Pasa igual con la duración. I have lived here for five years significa que sigues viviendo aquí. I lived there for five years significa que ya no vives allí.
Con yesterday, last year o ago, past simple. Con today, this week, ever o already, present perfect.
El pretérito perfecto español (he comido) se parece mucho a I have eaten, pero no siempre coinciden.
Para for y since piensa en duración. For va con un periodo (for three years) y since con un punto de partida (since 2020).
